KNOX KNEWS REPORT - 2009

Looking back over the issues of this year’s Knox Knews I see that Wilma McCabe & Marge Robertson again photocopied and folded all four editions.

Sandi Bridgeman does a remarkable job of preparing the Knews.  It is always ready for photocopying by Thursday morning after the deadline.  Special thanks to Sandi.

Dave & Darlene Hughes have done the labelling for several years.  This year the November issue coincided with the “Fall Canvass Letter” and Council suggested bundling them together.  Darlene folded and stuffed them in envelopes and I did the labelling.

Special thanks to these and all those who help deliver Knox Knews.

Thanks to all who contributed reports and news items.

In 2009 there were four issues, (March, April, September, & November).  Approximately 320 Knews letters were addressed (down from 345 in 2008) each issue, of which about 38 were mailed.

The newsletter is intended to communicate with all persons associated with Knox United Church.  Each issue contains information, calendar of events, special notices, activities etc.

Newsletters that have to go by mail are placed in an envelope and labelled.  Many newsletters are picked up at church or delivered by neighbours and friends.  Those not picked up after two Sundays are sorted and either mailed or delivered by volunteers.  Delivering your friends’ or neighbours’ Knews can be a good reason for a social visit.

Deliverers:  not all of you are known but your efforts are appreciated.

Do you have any suggestions?  Your ideas, comments etc. are welcome.
